Sharon's life was filled with love, faith, and family. Born to Leonard Woodard, Jr. and the late Dorothy Bell on August 28, 1964. She accepted the Lord and was baptized by her late grandfather Rev. Johnnie Bell at Cypress Grove Baptist Church. Her educational journey led her through the schools of Jefferson Parish, culminating in her graduation from Grace King High School in 1982.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Bell Woodard; grandparents, Jessie and Johnnie Bell, and Lula Woodard; sisters, Jessica Woodard and Carol James; brother, Ignatius Sias; and nephew, Antonio Woodard.
Sharon was a unique individual who proudly referred to herself as " Da Queen". She had a strong voice and fearlessly expressed her thoughts. Despite her outspoken nature, she remained loving and caring, never hesitating to connect with strangers. Her devotion to family was unwavering, but her greatest love was reserved for God. She spoke of His goodness daily.
Her legacy lives on through her two daughters, JaKeithia "Keke" Ivey and LaTricia "Piggy" Sias (Joshua Swinnie, Sr.); father, Leonard Woodard, Jr.; siblings: Patricia (Willie) James, Betty Turner, and Paul Butler; six grandchildren: Shaniya and Michael LaGrue, Jr., JaKai, Tiger and Joshua Swinnie, Jr., and Jariane Hollingsworth; Godchildren: Asjah Clark, Thaddeus James, Damien Bernard, and Alicia Walker. We can't leave out her nieces and nephews that she loved as her own, and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
