Shevette Dionne "Vette" Fulton (Joseph) Obituary (1968 - 2022)

Born March 7, 1968 in Thibodaux Louisiana, Shevette D. Joseph Fulton, the second of three daughters, was born to the union of Frank and Flora Joseph. She was a 1986 graduate of Donaldsonville High School, and a 1990 graduate of Southern University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. After graduating from Southern, she began her teaching career in January 1991 in Assumption Parish. At the time of her death, she had been actively employed for 31 years. On March 16, 1991, she was united in holy matrimony to Tyrone Knighten Jr. God blessed this union with two lovely daughters, Tia and Tori. She later married Sean Joseph Fulton on May 2, 2014. She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Sean Fulton, two daughters; Tia (Dexter) Davis of Dallas, TX, and Tori Knighten of Donaldsonville, La, two sisters; Shannon (Dale) McGalliard of Donaldsonville, La, and Sherell D Joseph of Donaldsonville, La, sisters-in-law; Florestine Alexander, Brenda Garden, Beatrice (Paul) Armstrong, Toni Givens, Diana Garden, Brenda Garden, and Sherry Garden, all of Baton Rouge La, three godchildren, Auri McGalliard, Oscar Jefferson III, and Alyssa Kornbacher, a devoted family friend; Diane Christy, a stepmother-in-law; Edna Gordon, a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Joseph and Flora J Joseph. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022, at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, 421 St. Patrick St., Donaldsonville, La 70346. Visitation 9am-11am. Mass will begin at 11am. Entombment to follow at Ascension of Our Lord Catholic Church Cemetery.
