On Sunday, March 21, 2021 at the age of 40, Taniya "Niya" Lavon Littles departed from this earthly home and arrived at her eternal Heavenly home. She shed light on our world on the morning of October 19, 1980, to the proud parents of the late Clifton Littles and Rosalyn Duronslet Littles in Los Angeles, CA.\n\nNiya spent her early childhood in Los Angeles and West Covina, CA. In 1994, Niya and her parents moved to Edgard, LA, where she attended West St. John High School and graduated in 1994. Upon graduation, Niya returned back to Los Angeles to pursue her dream in Culinary Arts at Los Angeles Trade Technical College.\n\nOn June 9, 2007, Niya gave birth to her oldest daughter, Lavone Emani. Niya and Lavone had a bond that couldn't be broken. On January 4, 2014, seven years later, her pride and joy, her baby girl Layia Ellese was born.\n\nNiya was a beautiful person with an infectious smile. She enjoyed music, going to concerts and spending time with her family. Niya also was an amazing parent to her girls. She managed to stay active in their lives by participating in school activities, taking them to the park, shopping and helping them with their homework. At times it was very difficult for Niya to do things with her girls because of her health, but she kept pushing and never gave up.\n\nHer memories will be carried on by her loving daughters, Lavon and Layia Jackson; mother, Rosalyn Duronslet Littles; sister, Tameka Littles; nephews, Joshua and DonMonique McClendon and O'Dell Simms Jr.; niece, Tamia Littles; great-niece (her sunshine), Khalani Michelle McClendon; three favorite cousins, Anika Duronslet, Nyeisha Lewis and Tonya Littles and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.\n\nNiya was preceded in death by her father, Clifton Lavon Littles; maternal grandparents, Robert and Hazel Lumar Duronslet; paternal grandparents, Louis and Arthinia Littles, and cousins, Regis and Sharrise Irving.\n\nA public walk-through visitation will be held on Thursday, April 8, 2021 at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E.
