Tessa M.Nicholas (Tee Thomas)

God saw you getting tired, so he put his arms around you and whispered, “Come with me.”

Tessa Marie Thomas Nicholas was born July 3, 1975, in New Orleans, LA to Sherylane Jackson and Rudolph S. Sorapuru Jr. She was a native of Edgard, Louisiana and longtime resident of Wallace, Louisiana. She graduated from West St. John High School in 1993. Tessa attended Nicholls State University. Tessa enjoyed listening to music and spending time with her kids, nieces and nephews, especially her nephews: Mekhai Borne and Colyn Webster and cousin Devrin Harper Sr.

On April 1, 2024, Tessa was called home. God said “Well done my good and faithful servant, come and take your rest.” She departed her Earthly life at her residence. She leaves to cherish her precious memories to her son Jalen Nicholas and her daughter JaJuan Nicholas; 6 brothers, Yukatta Sr. and Jamar Thomas, Jamie and Matthew Jackson, Dustin Sr. (Adrian) and Jamiah Sorapuru ; 5 sisters, Jefini Johnson (Tremaine), Jalanne Thomas, Angela Lewis, Kim Jackson, and Lacey Bailey; two Godchildren: Corey Webster II and Dyron Lorio. She also leaves to cherish her 4 uncles; Ervy Thomas Jr. (Yvette), Craig, Byron (Cindy), and Herman (Monique) Thomas; 4 aunts; Sandra Bovie (Oscar), Stella T. Miller (Benedict), Tanya S. Haydel, and Beverly Thomas.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Gertrude and Ervy Thomas Sr. and Joyce and Rudolph Sorapuru Sr., her two brothers Brandon and Ralph Thomas, God parents Agnes Thomas and John Farnell, cousins Dominic Harper and Raeneaka Small, guardian Joyce Champagne, Mother in Law Fannie Nicholas, Brother in law Ryan Keith Bazile, and niece Khalei Borne.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11, 2024 at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 East Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052 from 3PM-5PM.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday, April 12, 2024, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 2349 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049. Visitation beginning at 8AM with Mass to follow at 10AM. Father Rob Morgia, Celebrant. Interment at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Cemetery. Final care and professional services entrusted to Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 East Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052.
