Thaddeus D. Armant Obituary (1963 - 2025)

In loving memory of Thaddeus, Deon Armant, (Tut, Peter) December 10, 1963 -January 21, 2025. It is with heavy hearts and fond memories that we announce the celebration of Life for Thaddeus Deon Armant affectionately known as Tut Peter and famously recognized by his catchphrase “Ya heard me”. Thaddeus transitioned on January 21, 2025 at the age of 61. Thaddeus was born December 10, 1963 at Charity Hospital in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Norbert “Styleen” and Carol “Gram” Armant of Wallace, Louisiana who later moved to LaPlace, Louisiana. Years later Thaddeus became a resident of Metairie, Louisiana. Tut lived his life with an affectionate sense of humor and a free spirited heart. He was a man who knew how to bring joy and laughter to those around him, whether joking around or sharing his wisdom. He was something like a lawyer, a coach, and a social media content creator. But on a serious note, he was very determined and motivated to live his best life. Tut was the father of Tasia “Precious” Denne Clayton (Paul) and Tiesha “Queen” Desjana (Tony) Gales. Grandfather of Tyler “Mack” Clayton, Taylor “Princess” Gales, Chloe “Diva D” Floyd, Taylin “Koko” Gales, Trinity “Trin” Gales. Tut was the loving brother of W. Marie (Michael) Clayton, Daphney Rachelle Fluence, Sonja (Leroy) Mitchell Jr., Aaron Alphonso Lewis (Shelby), Norman (Mildred) Armour, Denise (Milton) Smith, and Bianca Davis. Tut was the loving uncle of Ronald Lathers Jr.(Godson), Deshaud Fluence, D’Jante Milan Armant, and Zaki Mitchell. Thaddeus was baptized at an early age by the late Rev. Lucian R. Garrett Sr. at First Baptist Church of Vacherie, Louisiana. Thaddeus later joined Oakland Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Charles Hurst in Kenner, Louisiana. Tut was educated in the Saint John Parish School System. He also held various jobs. He was the devoted friend to Gloria Bryd. Best friend to Edwin Williams and Myron (Jack Tripper) Roberts. He had a special bond with Jhayce (Lakeisha Jenkins) and Jhia (Wooka Jane) Trench. Along with a host of other relatives and friends. Thaddeus was preceded in death by his parents Norbert and Carol Armant, Maternal and Paternal grandparents, and numerous Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins. A public visitation will be held on Friday, February 7, 2025 from 5-7pm at Treasures of Life Funeral Services, 315 E. Airline Hwy., Gramercy, LA 70052. A celebration of life, love and legacy will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 for 10am at St. Mark Baptist Church, 132 Marquez St., Mt. Airy, LA 70076. Visitation begins for 8am.
