Vera Malbern Morton (Smith) Obituary (1930 - 2021)

Vera S. Morton entered eternal rest on Saturday October 16, 2021, surrounded by her loving family. Vera was a lifelong native of St. Rose, LA. She was on born November 30, 1930. Vera was proceeded in death by her husband Frank Morton. She was a dedicated mother to her four children, Gerald Morton Sr., Kendra Clay, Lisa Price, and the late Allen Morton Sr. She was a grandmother of 19, great grandmother of 31, and great-great grandmother of 2. Vera was a faithful member of the Fifth African Baptist Church in St. Rose, LA. She was employed by the St. Charles Parish Public School System, where she retired after 21 years. Family and friends are invited to attend the funeral service for Vera S. Morton on Friday, October 22, 2021, for 11am at Mt. Zion Baptist Church 100 2nd St, St. Rose, LA 70087. Visitation from 9am-11am. Masks are required. Interment: Jefferson Memorial Gardens.
